The Animal Flower Cave is located at the North of the island in the parish of St. Lucy. It is the only sea cave in the island which is accessible. The cave actually opens into the Atlantic Ocean, just a little from the point where the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea meet. The cave is a mix of history, sea views and activity. Depending on the tide, there is a natural swimming pool and blowhole. Further in the cave, persons can also see Sea-anemones of varying colours which the locals refer to as "Animal Flowers". These seasonal flowers have tentacles which they use to sting and paralyze passing fish. This sea cave is a must see for nature lovers.

While Barbados has no zoo, Barbados Wildlife Reserve allows persons to take strolls through the Reserve and have close up looks at animals as they roam freely in their natural habitats. Only a handful of animals can be viewed in cages. Some of the animals you can look forward to seeing are Barbados Green Monkeys, birds such as parrots, flamingoes and pelicans, snakes (in cages), iguanas, turtles and so many more! Afternoon feeding time for the monkeys are often a spectacle as the monkeys are free and often leave the resort during the day.
