For many of us, a tropical getaway isn’t quite complete without an accompanying cocktail. Fortunately, guests at The Crane Resort are in for a treat no matter where their taste palette for alcohol and spirits may lie. From citrus concoctions to savory delights, here are our 6 must-have cocktails from each of our restaurants and bars at The Crane.
The Crane Rum Punch
The Grove Beach Bar & Grill
Beach chair? Check. Sunglasses? Check. Spectacular ocean view? Check. The only thing missing is a cooling tropical drink in your hand and nothing quite compares to the Crane Rum Punch. This cocktail is a sweet, refreshing combination of Barbados Rum, Orange Juice, Lime Juice, Sugar, Grenadine Syrup and Bitters. Order yours at our Beach Bar on the stunning Crane Beach.
Ragged Point
Bar 1887
While you take a stroll through our Crane Village, make a quick stop at Bar 1887 and ask for our Ragged Point cocktail, named after the nearby East Coast village and lighthouse. This simple yet flavourful drink combines Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum and Apple Juice with Fresh Lime, Sugar and Fresh Ginger for that extra kick. This cool cocktail with a crisp finish is perfect for evenings before you head back to your room.
Mango Piña Colada
The Carriage House
If you like piña coladas, then you’ll love the Mango Piña Colada at the Carriage House. Though there are different flavours to choose from, we can’t help but be drawn to the richness of mango that adds a tangy, delicious twist to the traditional colada. The extra appeal of the Mango Piña Colada at Carriage House? The pool is a right around the corner, and this is the perfect poolside drink.
Angelo Azzuro
D’Onofrio’s
Take a dive into the turquoise waters of the Angelo Azzuro at D’Onofrio’s. This gorgeous cocktail gets its blue colour from Blue Curacao and is mixed with Gin, Triple Sec, Lime Juice and Simple Syrup. Angelo Azzuro is Italian and translates to “blue angel”, and though you may not get wings from this drink, you’re likely to feel closer to Heaven with each citrus sip. This drink was made popular in the 90’s club scene and therefore makes for a great finisher after a hearty dinner.
Pink Sand Martini
L’Azure
There’s a Martini and then there’s the Pink Sand Martini at L’Azure. Your cocktail glass is served to you with a delectable combination of Vodka, Passion Fruit Puree, Strawberry Jam, Lime Juice, and Cinnamon Syrup. An unforgettable combination that should pair well with seafood appetizers like the Bajan Gumbo or the Blackened Flying Fish Salad.
Thai Basil Mojito
Zen
If you’re enjoying a night out at Zen for delicious Japanese and Thai delicacies, we’d recommend the Thai Basil Mojito. This will pair well with any dishes that combine chicken and egg, like the Khoa Phat or the Phad Mee “Zen”. The inspired Thai Basil Mojito is made with White Rum, Lime, Simple Syrup, Basil Leaves, Mint Leaves and topped with Club Soda.
