Each year, TripAdvisor awards Certificates of Excellence to companies that receive consistently great reviews from travelers on the world’s largest travel review site. According to Alison Copus, TripAdvisor Vice President of Marketing, “The Certificate of Excellence Award provides top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers, and TripAdvisor is delighted to celebrate the success of businesses that consistently offer travelers a great customer experience.” This year, The Crane and it’s on site restaurants Zen and D'Onofrio's are honored to receive "2015 Certificates of Excellence ".
According to TripAdvisor, only 10% of companies registered on the site receive the Certificate of Excellence. Establishments awarded are located all over the world and represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the website.
