# Barbados' Beautiful Beaches
**Barbados is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Here’s a list of just a few of the beaches you can enjoy on your Barbados vacation:**
**Crane Beach**
[Crane Beach](https://www.thecrane.com/the-resort/crane-beach/) is one of Barbados’ most beautiful beaches and holds several accolades such as “One of the 10 Best Beaches in the World” by the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. The pink, powder soft sand is complemented by several beautiful hues of blue from the sea and a coconut grove which elegantly sways with the light tropical breezes.
The beach is accessible by a glass-front beach elevator from The Crane Resort, which is the only one of its kind in the Eastern Caribbean. The playful Crane Beach waves are ideal for body surfing and boogie boarding and swimming closer to shore. The beach bar on the beach serves up beachside snacks and tropical cocktails for an unforgettable Barbados beach experience. This picturesque beach on the south-east coast is the perfect paradise for individuals, couples and families.
**Accra Beach**
Accra Beach, otherwise known as Rockley, is one of the most popular beaches on the South Coast of the island. It has a wide stretch of soft sand, with moderate waves and no undertow, which make it a good location for windsurfing, snorkeling and boogie boarding. Along with all the water activities, there is also a children’s playpark for family fun.
**Silver Sands**
Silver Sands is a wide area of white sand beach, located on the south coast of Barbados. The slight swells and waves at this beach make it a good location for a many exciting watersports and some swimming and shoreside frolicking. During the winter months, the strong winds make this the ideal beach for windsurfing and kitesurfing. There are many picnic benches and a small playpark for younger children, making it a fun picnic spot for the family.
**Brighton Beach**
Brighton Beach is located on Barbados’ west coast, just on the outskirts of Bridgetown, which is the island’s capital. The sea here is very calm making it a great beach for swimming and sea bathing. Persons can relax on beach loungers and take in the views as boats sail by or pack your favourite snacks to enjoy a picnic under the trees. You can also grab your drink of choice and a Barbadian meal at the beach bar. The sunset from this beach is always spectacular and is a romantic sight for couples.
**Mullins Beach**
Located in St. Peter, Mullins beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island’s west coast. The calm, blue waters are perfect for sea bathing or for partaking in exhilarating water sports. This scenic location is great for just lounging in the sun, under an umbrella or the palm trees. The beach bar close by is a convenient location to get your favourite beachside drinks and snacks during your Barbados beach experience.
